Fields of examination

The fields in which I can be appointed and — in each of them — what is actually examined. This page is the technical profile: it serves both the court verifying that an appointment fits the subject matter, and counsel drafting a question that can in fact be answered.

Scope

Courts before which I appear

  • TJRJ Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice Registered under No. 10,650
  • TRF2 Federal Courts — 2nd Region Accredited on eproc — expert profile
  • TRT1 Labour Courts — 1st Region Available for appointment — registration pending
  • JMU Military Courts of the Union Available for appointment — registration pending

Two registrations have been granted: with the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice, under No. 10,650, and accreditation on eproc, the electronic case system of the Federal Courts for the 2nd Region, in the expert profile (Law 11,419/2006 and TRF2 Resolution RSP-2018/00017). Before the Labour Courts and the Military Courts of the Union, registration is pending — which does not preclude appointment, since a Brazilian court may appoint an expert of its own choosing from outside the register where the subject matter requires it (Code of Civil Procedure, article 156 § 5). The distinction is stated here because advertising a registration one does not hold would itself be a credentials problem.

Questions to the expert

Drafted the question and unsure whether it can be answered?

A badly drafted question produces a useless report and loses the evidence. If you wish, I will review the wording before appointment — so that the answer is technical rather than evasive.
